Family Faith Formation (PSR)
Family Faith Formation Grades 1–5

The goal of Family Faith Formation at St. John Neumann Catholic Church is to provide parents the tools necessary to pass on the Catholic faith to their children and assist in creating young disciples for the faith. Children will have the opportunity to deepen their relationship with God by exploring Scripture and developing a personal prayer life.
Program Overview
• Family Faith Formation (FFF) is for children in Grades 1–5
• Cost: $75 per child
• Program Dates: September 8, 2026 – May 11, 2027
• Meeting Time: Tuesdays from 6:30 PM – 7:45 PM
What Families Can Expect
Monthly Family Gatherings
Once each month, families will gather to celebrate Catholic traditions through experiences such as:
• Mass
• Prayer Services
• Eucharistic Adoration
• Stations of the Cross
• Stewardship Activities
Parent & Child Sessions
Twice each month, parents and children will attend sessions together at St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
During these sessions:
• Parents and children will reflect on Scripture and discover how God is present in family life.
• Children will meet in grade-level groups with Catechists using engaging and age-appropriate resources.
• Lessons are interactive and designed specifically for children — no worksheets or workbooks.
Faith Resources
Children in Grades 1–5 will use Discover: Finding Faith and Life from Saint Mary’s Press.
Grade 2 students preparing for Sacraments will use Go, Seek, Find: Discover God’s Treasures from Saint Mary’s Press.
Each child will also receive a personal Children’s Bible to use throughout the year.
Share the Faith at Home
Once each month, families will participate in “Share the Faith at Home” using the online portal from Saint Mary’s Press.
These online lessons include:
• A self-directed 30-minute lesson for the child
• Parent follow-up using Scripture and discussion questions
• Opportunities for families to continue faith conversations at home

Parent Formation Opportunities
Parents will have opportunities throughout the year to:
• Participate in book studies
• Listen to talks from priests, parish staff, or Catholic speakers from the Diocese of Cleveland
• Learn practical ways to raise children in the Catholic faith
Each evening concludes with a closing prayer and a family “Challenge” activity to encourage faith at home.

A complete yearly calendar will be available in August.
Special Welcome for New Families
Families new to St. John Neumann Catholic Church will receive a Prayer Table Kit to help establish a prayer space in the home.
Weekend Mass Participation
All families are encouraged to make weekend Mass attendance a priority. Worshipping together as a family strengthens faith formation and helps children grow closer to Jesus.
